When I saw that teaching and coaching on money and sales was correct for me, I was really scared and really uncomfortable.
I also really wanted to do this work; I’ve always been ambitious, and I was hungry for this vision.
So I borrowed heavily on my coach’s faith in me.
She was absolutely certain that I could do this.
I trusted her completely.
And she was absolutely right.
I will never claim that I could have done this on my own.
In my position as a coach, I get to be the one lending faith. The one modeling for my clients that this is what it feels like to believe in yourself in the world. This is what it feels like to know you can do something, even if you haven’t done it before.
I did also recognize that my clients’ problem was very real.
Spiritual teachers didn’t understand money, didn’t understand sales, and were going to struggle.
I was motivated by that, because although I didn’t feel particularly qualified to do it, I also saw that nobody else was doing it! I saw the negative implications on the spiritual community and on the planet.
I had to jump in.
And I’m eternally grateful I had a coach who believed in me so completely that I would leap into something I had never, ever done before.
